Got this interesting letter from a reader I’ll call “JW,” and thought I’d share it here, since it deals with a subject of interest to lots of people nowadays….
“Hello Mr. Macy,
“I wanted to tell you that I reached the end of your book, The Project. Now that I’ve done so, I have so many things I want to ask you… I wanted specifically to ask you about the end of the world…. There’s much talk about our world ending just a few short years from now. Have the Ethereal beings given us any indication that what many fear to happen in 2012 will not come to pass? My personal fear is that we humans will bring it upon ourselves. That too many will give in to the savage side of our selves as you like to call it. Too many of us will believe it will come to pass and we will in effect destroy ourselves. I had nearly all but dismissed the idea of people long ago being able to determine the fate of the world, until I read your book, that is. In your book I found examples over and over of Ethereal beings living among us and even shaping us in hopes of making our lives better, but fighting a continuing war with the forces of darkness in the in-beyond. Then you wrote of a time coming very soon, a pivot point that could tip the scales between the light and the dark. A scale that would either bring us a lasting enlightenment or send us down a dark path for many ages. This sounds very much to me like what many keep saying is forthcoming. An alignment that could either bring destruction, or a new age of enlightenment for us all. I put that ancient prophecy together with the things you wrote in your book and I feel I have to ask, are they connected somehow?
“On a lighter note, in your book you wrote when we get to the in-beyond, many of us still enjoy the things that we find pleasure in here on Earth. My example for the purposes of this conversation being cartoons…I can’t get enough of them, I’m nearly 30 but, I refuse to believe that cartoons are something only children can enjoy. So, what if someone in this life, say, a voice actor for a cartoon show really enjoys making people laugh with his cartoons. Or an animator really enjoys bringing animated stories to people. Is that something that carries over to the in-beyond? Does the animator get to keep making his movies? Does the voice actor get to keep voicing those movies? And do I get to keep seeing new animated films to enjoy? Or should I watch them all now while I can, ‘cause you can’t take it with you…so to speak?
“I want you to know that I’m grateful to have stumbled upon your ITC subject. It’s brought me comfort and knowledge. Thanks much. – – – JW; Louisville, KY”
My reply:
Dear JW,
Thanks for your letter. It’s a subject I love to think about—the fate of the world, and what we humans can do to claim our paradise destiny. Our fate (personal as well as planetary) really does rest in our own hands (and minds and attitudes). Even though there are many different spirit beings with many different agendas trying to influence us in many different ways, it’s ultimately our choices that will shape the future… for better or worse.
In my books and here on my blog (as you know!) I try to paint as clear a picture as possible of what exactly we’re up against, and how we can lock in a paradise future, personally (after we die) and as a species here on Earth… based on 35 years of personal research, including amazing insights into our ancient past, given to us by the Seven Ethereals through ITC systems.
As far as 2012, or any other timeframe, not even the Ethereals really seem to know exactly WHEN the ‘apocalypse’ is going to shake things up here big-time. They and our other spirit friends (deceased humans) have told us on many occasions that time doesn’t exist for them. One woman told us that the oddest thing she had to adjust to in-beyond, after she died, was seeing time on Earth “as a bodily substance.” (Apparently by watching the aging process and the waxing and waning of the health of her colleagues here on Earth, she could see ‘time passing’.) But I digress…
They see the future here on Earth as ‘fields of possibilities” in which various forks in the road could lead us in various directions, depending largely on the choices we humans make and the leaders we choose. The Ethereals told us specifically that the changes we were seeing in the 1990s were “not the beginning of the apocalypse, but only early symptoms of it.” From that message I deduce that an apocalypse, or cleansing of the Earth, in the fashion of the proverbial flood, is one possibility (a likely one, considering current trends of global warming, denial of it, destruction of ecosystems, overpopulation, growing tensions among religions and nationalities, rampant drug abuse, and so on…).
In a computer text in July 1998, the Ethereals (whom our spirit friends sometimes call “people of the Rainbow”) recounted a meeting of priests long ago, when the previous epoch was coming to a close. I believe it was the end of Atlantis they were discussing, as I explain in my book, The Project.
In any case, at that meeting long ago, the head priest was addressing the others:
“Participants of this project, my brothers and sisters, the Golden Ages of our culture are at an end. Our civilization has become so indifferent that the innumerable dead, who die of starvation and disease, have become a common sight for you. They elicit no more than a sigh, or in the best case, a tinge of protest. The streets of our cities have become the residence of legions of the homeless; drugs rule the world; men murder their brothers on a scale and with a bestiality that has not been seen since the (previous) dark ages. At the same time, thousands of lesser acts of violence and abominations have become so customary that they hardly seem real. We have tried to avert the evil with our Project Sothis, but we have failed. We have made the mistake of reaching an understanding with the pupils of Nephtos, because we believed that as the caste of scientists, they would help us convince the people that the Gateway, the Space-Time Arch, was the last hope for our sick world. But we have erred. They have measured, minced and counted, and again, measured, minced and counted, and could not recognize the true meaning of our search, because they could not recognize the truth that stood behind our endeavors: the inseparability of the spiritual from the material world—the opening of the door between these worlds. So we lost precious time… But now we want to speak the last vow, and give our word, that at the given time, in another place, with another appearance, and under different names—some will be men and no longer women, and vice versa—we will no longer remember here and now, but when we meet again, we will know that we belong together. This very night, a Spirit of the Rainbow appeared to me and assured me that they will guide us further and lead us when mankind approaches the next dark age. This will be when voices speak from boxes and human beings move through light behind glass. Here on this spot on the river after many millennia, a city will arise that will be called Babylon, and the Second Epoch will begin.”
I still believe that we can decide to make a fork in the road, to postpone or even preempt the coming dark age, and move toward a paradise future, but it’ll take some major changes… which, again, I try to spell out clearly in my books and here on the blog. On a personal level, that involves mostly a commitment to understand our savage side (driven by fear and animosity stirred up largely by the R-complex in the brain and various hormones, especially dopamine and testosterone) and to make choices to foster our noble side (driven by love and good will)… and to figure out how we can each let our savage side exert itself in ways that are not harmful to ourselves and those around us.
At the planetary level it will involve various changes in our social, political, economic, scientific, educational, industrial, and religious policies… and that’s where the biggest resistance is bound to be felt. Nations remain unwilling to relinquish their authority to a reformed UN that can work for the best interests of humanity, the planet and all its inhabitants. Catholics and Christian fundamentalists refuse to see how the connection between overpopulation and economic calamities like famine and mass execution can only be solved by intense family planning programs to limit fertility. Growth economists will balk at the Vitality Ratio, which I know could solve most of the major world problems. Leaders of business and government often seem more interested in squelching opposition and profit-taking than in collaborating with each other in the higher interest… Add to all of that the current trend, led by Hollywood, into an age of swirling darkness in which violent crime and drug abuse are in our face daily….
It’s those trends that are leading us toward the apocalypse.
Somehow we have to find a way to leave all of that behind… collectively, as a species. Elevate our spiritual vibration with thoughts and actions of love and good will toward others. Commit to policies and ways of living that are in the best interests of the world. Is it possible? I like to think so.
Anyhow, that’s what I’m devoting the rest of my life to—planting seeds of a paradise future through knowledge and understanding of the forces (not just here on Earth but in-beyond as well) that can help us climb out of the mire we’re getting ourselves into. Again, I digress…
Getting back to your question of whether the trends in the world today are connected to ancient prophecies of a “pivot point,” I’d say yes, there is a connection. The Ethereals told us that we’ve gone through six such pivot points in the past when they’ve come close to the Earth to facilitate, and now they’re here the seventh time. I suspect that ancient cultures had some knowledge of those ancient times of upheaval on Earth, and they wove them into their legends, along with predictions of it happening again in the future.
As far as timelines, such as 2012… I wouldn’t rely on them. As I said, it’s hard to predict the future accurately among the fields of possibilities.
My own personal philosophy is to take a two-pronged approach to life. Keep a general awareness if the big picture (political and economic trends in the world, the possibility of an apocalypse, and another possibility of a paradise outcome) but focus most of my energy on the small picture—enjoying life with my family and friends, and trying to behave in ways that support them and make them happy and healthy….
And, finally, on your lighter note:
I know that some people who were considered great personalities on Earth—Eleanor Roosevelt, for example—still give public addresses to large crowds in-beyond.
I know that people with technical interests often congregate in lab environments to pursue those interests in-beyond.
I know that storytellers of olden times still tell stories of the way it used to be.
Avid golfers still golf after they die (but they get a LOT more holes in one). Bikers still ride motorcycles (at speeds we can’t imagine!) Fishermen still catch fish, but now it’s a sport enjoyed by both parties, and no one dies at the end of the game ….
So yes, people who like to express themselves in animation or music or painting or whatever… often choose to continue those pleasures on the other side.
For lots of people, personal desires and interests change once they move in-beyond, but if you still want to enjoy cartoons, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of them over there that’ll knock your socks off… so to speak.
Well, JW, thanks for letting me share your letter on my blog!

Hi Mark,
You have provided another interesting and thought provoking article, as always. Considering your comment herein: “From that message I deduce that an apocalypse, or cleansing of the Earth, in the fashion of the proverbial flood, is one possibility (a likely one, considering current trends of global warming.” Would you care to comment on the quote below from the Christian Bible?” Thank you.
Genesis 9:8-16: “Then God said to Noah and to his sons: “Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth. I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the Earth. When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the Earth.
Blessings,
Jean Peterson
Jean! A pleasure, as always.
I’d like to think the Biblical covenant is true, but considering hints the Ethereals dropped on various occasions about a coming dark age and apocalypse, I can’t ignore that possibility. (Like human relationships over time in which trust develops through consistent, reliable exchanges of information, I developed a trust in those Ethereal beings!) In any case, I have no plans of growing a long beard, donning a robe, and carrying a sign that says, “The End is Near.” 🙂
The fate of the world is just fields of possibilities in the back of my mind as I navigate through life day by day.
Warm wishes to you from Regina and me!
